Travellers have arrived on an open space in Romford less than a week after they were evicted from an area just under two miles away.

Havering Council has reported that caravans moved onto King George’s Playing Field earlier today and have until noon tomorrow to leave.

Parks protection officers will be stationed at the playing fields until the travellers have moved on.
