Police evacuate Roneo Corner Tesco after ‘suspect package’ found

Police evacuated a supermarket in Roneo Corner this evening following the discovery of a “suspect package”.

Staff and shoppers were asked to leave Tesco Roneo Corner, in Hornchurch Road, Hornchurch, at around rush hour today.

Officers would not give further details.

Traffic travelling in both directions of Hornchurch Road had been placed on divert but has now returned to normal, Transport for London said.
