A man disturbed two burglars in his Collier Row home on Thursday evening.

The 33-year-old disturbed two white men who had smashed a window in his Rodney Way home and chased them along that road and into Lowshoe Lane before they got away.

His computer and some other items had been moved ready to be taken away by the thieves, but they were recovered.

Anyone with information about the incident, which took place around 8pm, is asked to call Romford CID on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
