Man arrested after Romford shooting

A man remains in custody at a north east London police station following a shooting in Romford yesterday.

Police said a vehicle believed to have been involved in the incident was subsequently in collision with several other vehicles, and a man sustained minor injuries as a result.

But it is understood no one suffered gunshot injuries.

Police were called shortly after 7pm last night, a spokesperson said. Havering borough officers are investigating and local road closures are in place.
