A dog walker was mugged as he walked his parents’ pooch in a park.

The incident took place on Friday January 4 around 7.30pm in Hornchurch Country Park.

The 29-year-old was approached by a black man who demanded his phone and wallet before hitting him in the face.

While he was on the floor due to the blow, his wallet and watch were stolen.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Romford CID on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
