Police officers gave youngsters a talk on staying safe while out and about.
Representatives from the Cranham and Upminster Safer Neighbourhoods Teams visited the Marlborough Gardens preschool group in Upminster and spoke to the children about road safety.
They also covered the topic of who to approach when lost in the street.
PCSO Rian Black of the Upminster team said: “This was a very enjoyable visit and all the children seemed pleased to see us. They listened quietly and asked some great questions.
“I would like to thank the staff for inviting us. We are always happy to visit similar organisations and anyone who is interested in arranging such a visit should contact our ward base.”
The husband of a police officer, who was left lying in a pool of blood after an unprovoked attack in a pub in Rainham, has said he has no memory of the beating.
