Cranham postbox turns letter hole after over-zealous gas works in Isis Drive

Residents wanting to post a letter in Isis Drive, Cranham, were left facing an awkward challenge earlier this week as their local pillar box ended up down a hole.
Gas workmen had excavated a trench for some pipe repairs but ventured a little too close to this post box.
The unusual scene was captured by local resident, Vicky Blackburn, who lives nearby.
Local councillor Clarence Barrett said: “It just goes to show that popping out to post a letter can deliver unexpected results.”
