The Cranham Community Centre, Marlborough Gardens, Cranham wants to encourage people to come in and see what they have to offer.

The centre has been established for more than 25 years and would welcome new members.

The centre’s administrator Sharon Cundick said: “I think it’s just sometimes people walk past the building and see that it says community centre but don’t really know what that means or if they are welcome to come in”.

Sharon said that the centre was a good place for people to go if they were on their own and possibly lonely.

“They can come here and have a cup of tea, join a group. Sometimes we have games around or people can just come for a chat”.

The centre offers a variety of different groups which people can join.

These include sequence and line dancing, art classes, slimming clubs, darts, a camera club and children’s playgroups.

“It just brings everyone together and it’s good for the community,” Sharon said.
