A convicted sex attacker is back behind bars after following a young girl onto a train at Brentwood station and then masturbating while sitting opposite her.
Musician Rikki Soloman, 32, from, Colchester, was convicted in 2006 of sexual activity with a child and downloading indecent images of children.
This is the second time this summer Soloman has been in court for breaking an order meant to restrict where he goes and what he does until 2020.
On Wednesday, Judge Anthony Goldstaub QC added six months to that term after Soloman pleaded guilty to committing an act outraging public decency.
The judge told Soloman: “Think about your behaviour or you will become an old lag. If you persist in conduct of this kind you will spend increasingly longer periods of time in prison.”
Prosecutor Andrew Jackson said Soloman was loitering for 20 minutes at Brentwood station with his cello. He immediately followed a 14-year-old girl on to a train and sat opposite her.
“As the train left the station and gathered speed she watched as he put a hand into his pocket and he started to masturbate himself,” he said. “She stood up and as she tried to move away - his legs were outstretched so she had to step over - he grabbed her leg and gained satisfaction from that as well.”
The teenager got off the train and raised the alarm.
“She was shocked and extremely worried by what had happened to her,” added the prosecutor.
Mitigating, Nneke Akudolu said Soloman was a locksmith and security systems engineer for eight years until his conviction in 2006. He was now a musician with a level five BTEQ in music performance. He was unemployed at the time.
“He had a good relationship with his mother who he lived with but as a result of this arrest that relationship now has completely broken down,” she added.
A 41-year-old man has been stabbed at an address in Harold Hill.
