A Collier Row man who drove at nearly twice the legal drink-drive limit was fined £400 and banned from driving.
Harish Salhotra, of Cornell Way, drive the Ford Fiesta in Northbrook Road, Ilford, on September 15, Barkingside magistrates heard.
He was breathalysed and found to have 65microgrammes of alcohol per 100ml of his breath. The legal limit is 35microgrammes.
Salhotra, 26, pleaded guilty. He was banned from driving for 18 months, and ordered to pay the fine, plus £85 costs and a £40 victim surcharge.
He appeared before magistrates on Monday.
Salhotra can cut his disqualification by four months if he completes a course.
A 41-year-old man has been stabbed at an address in Harold Hill.
