A 49-year-old man has been ordered to do 40 hours unpaid work for a domestic assault.

Alan Richardson, of Petts Close, Hornchurch, was sentenced at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on July 14 for assaulting a woman.

He pleaded guilty in June to the charge of assault by beating that took place in Gidea Park earlier that month.

Richardson must also pay £85 costs to the CPS and a £60 victim surcharge.
