A florist is excited for the future as she opened her first shop on Saturday.

Owner Remy Atkins, 23, and business partner Billie Cook, 17, officially opened Lily Lounge, Gobions Avenue, Collier Row, on Saturday, cutting the ribbon and welcoming the community in for a glass of champagne and nibbles.

Remy has been working in florists since she was a teenager and dreamed of one day owning her own business.

She said: “It was a great atmosphere, speaking to people from the area about the shop.

“We’re really excited about running Lily Lounge.”
