Natalie Woods, one of the organisers of the club, said: “All of our costumes and equipment have been completely paid for through fundraising and donations from the community.
“Through the winter months our members compete through the United Kingdom Federation of Majorettes (UKFM).
“The competition season runs from September and finishes with the National Championships in April.
“Through the summer months we fundraise by taking part in fetes and carnivals.
“Starting in September, our members will also have the opportunity to take recognised examinations through the British Association of Teachers of Dancing.
“We aim to keep costs for the parents as low as possible and only charge £2.50 per week (sibling discounts may apply) and a £10 annual membership fee.
“We do have a uniform for classes, which can be purchased at training, and members will need their own baton but parents are not expected to buy this immediately as we have equipment that can be borrowed.
“We are recruiting new members for all of our classes and we welcome all children.
“The first session is free and we recommend a six-week trial before purchasing class uniform and a baton.”
