“We meet every week on Sunday mornings throughout the year, usually in Upminster. Our aim is to enjoy the ride, countryside and places we ride through rather than racing, although it does keep us all fit.
“The Essex countryside is ideal for cycling on Sundays as the roads have low traffic levels.
“We vary our routes with a different destination every week and sometimes travel to a different area to start our rides.
“Most of our rides are planned to be full day ones, but some members head back at our tea break in the first few hours before lunch.
“We have a half-day ride once a month to cater for cyclists who don’t want to ride for a full day or are new to cycling.
“We want new members and support them as much as possible. No one gets left behind.
“Please contact us if you are interested in coming along, as occasionally our start time or place is different.
“We are a friendly bunch of cyclists and are always keen to welcome new people.”
