The Women’s Institute has been around for more than 100 years but it still struggles to shake off the image that it is all about jam and cake.

The H90 Joggers will pay tribute at their annual inter-club race to member Paul Freedman, who died in February at the age of 92.

A former engineer in the city who bought a bike and joined a cycling club only six months ago is planning to ride 100 miles in aid of charity.

The Havering Numismatic Society (HNS) was established in 1967 and in June the group’s members will celebrate the club’s 50th anniversary.

The Inner Wheel District 24 was set up 43 years ago and incorporates Havering, Essex and a little bit of Hertfordshire.

At some point in our lives we all have to deal with the death of a loved on and often the real struggle is trying to move on from the grief.
