Romford’s historic Lamb Inn is set to reopen next month.
The pub, which has been renamed Mulligans will be officially opened by celebrity chef Richard Corrigan.
Earlier this month, the Recorder reported that businessman Richard Willis took over the lease of the pub and wanted to turn it into the town’s first Irish bar.
The grade two listed building has been given a lick of paint and Richard says that it will be turned into a live music venue.
The husband of a police officer, who was left lying in a pool of blood after an unprovoked attack in a pub in Rainham, has said he has no memory of the beating.
