Adult learners celebrated gaining qualifications in skills like literacy, numeracy and IT at a presentation afternoon.
The Shaw Trust, which laid on the event, works with people who have learning disabilities and mental health problems to help them find work. It has a caseload of about 400 people from Havering and Barking and Dagenham who attend classes at its Mawney Road centre, Romford.
Havering’s Mayor Cllr Eric Munday presented the awards at myplace in Dagnam Park Drive, Harold Hill, last Friday.
Dagenham and Redbridge football club also donated prizes for a raffle that was held at the event.
High achievers included Adam Buck and Jake Fluin, who gained four certificates each, including qualifications in literacy and numeracy.
A 41-year-old man has been stabbed at an address in Harold Hill.
