PUBLISHED: 17:07 05 February 2014 | UPDATED: 17:07 05 February 2014

A person was taken to hospital this afternoon after a car “flipped over” in Collier Row.

The incident happened in Hillrise Road at about 1pm and the 175 bus was being diverted.

A tweet from TfL Bus Alerts said that the diversion was due to a car being “blown on its side” although this could not be confirmed by police.

A spokesman for London Ambulance Service said: “We were called to reports of a car that had flipped over. One person was taken to hospital.”

Firefighters attended the scene but said they were not needed.
