After an elderly man was robbed in the disabled toilet at a Brentwood Sainsbury’s, police are searching for two men.

The 81-year-old man was pinned against the toliet wall before his wallet, containing £30, was stolen, at 1.30pm on March 3 in the William Hunter Way store.

The victim had entered the disabled toilet and was followed in by two men.

The suspects are described as white, in their mid-20s, around 5ft 8ins tall, of medium build and with light brown hair.

One is thought to have been wearing a grey coloured top and the other a scarf.

Det Con Patrick Snape, of Brentwood CID, said: “The victim was not injured in this incident but he was left shaken by what happened. The store would have been busy with shoppers at this time and I am sure someone must have seen these men or witnessed what happened.”

Anyone with information should contact Brentwood Police Station on 101 or ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
