Cllr Ann Coe is taking on the Mayor In The Air challenge and will be completing a tandem skydive from 12,000ft.

She has enlisted the help of reality TV personality Jodie Marsh and former The Only Way Is Essex star Harry Debridge, both of whom will also be jumping at the event in Cambridgeshire from May 4 to 6.

The challenge is being co-ordinated by flight manager Dean Hatton who is hoping to make it into the Guinness World Records by being the first to complete a skydive with a mayor and 100 jumpers.

Readers can apply to take part as members of Harry or Jodie’s fundraising and flight team.

Raise funds

Cllr Coe announced she will be raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society, Crossroads and Frontline when she launched the campaign at her Civic Awards ceremony last week.

Dean said: “The prime reason for doing this is to raise as much funds in times of a credit crises for these wonderful charities that do so much hard work for a lot of people.

“This is going to be one of the most extravagant fundraising events ever and the most rewarding for all the people involved.

“We need as many volunteers to help as possible, so would love to hear from anyone who would like to help out.”
