A man and woman were caught trying to steal 40 floral flutes last week.

They were stopped by an employee at Upminster Crematorium on Friday, February 15, at about 12pm as they tried to load the flutes into the boot of a silver Ford Mondeo.

Police said the couple, both in the 30s, dropped the flutes before driving off.

Anyone with information is asked to call Romford Police on 101.
