Thousands of children in Havering are being tested on their maths, English and science this month - but how would you fare?

It’s an equally stressful time for parents and Year Six pupils this month as hundreds of thousands of young students are quizzed.

From subordinate clauses to sentences in the present perfect tense, the national exams have split opinions on their success.

Some parents and teachers argue the testing system is outdated and places too much stress and pressure on children at too young an age.

Last year, more rigorous papers for English and maths were introduced to reflect the new national curriculum which was introduced in 2014.

You might be confident that your grammar skills are top of the class but now this sample of questions from last year’s exams will find out for sure.
