Alcohol dependency treatment for Hornchurch man, 26, caught drink driving

18:20 24 June 2014

A 26-year-old man has been ordered to undergo treatment for alcohol dependency after he was caught driving over the legal limit.

James Bolton, of Westmoreland Avenue, Hornchurch, was last week told at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court that he must undergo three months of treatment.

He pleaded guilty in April for driving on Maybrick Road, Hornchurch, that month after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion in his breath was 95 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath.

He was disqualified from holding a driving licence for two years and must pay £85 costs to the CPS and a £60 victim surcharge.
