Another tragedy has struck the Essex coast, where a man has died after getting into difficulty in the sea.
Emergency services were called to Frinton-on-Sea shortly before 2.10pm today (July 30) after receiving reports a man was experiencing trouble in the water off The Esplanade.
He was brought ashore and assisted by paramedics, however the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene, despite their efforts to save him.
An Essex Police spokesman said: "Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
"Emergency service personnel remain at the scene and our response is continuing.
"We would ask members of the public to avoid the area wherever possible to allow emergency services to carry out their work safely and effectively."
The death comes more than a week after a beach tragedy at West Mersea on July 22 that claimed the lives of a mother, her daughter and a young boy.

Sameeha Rahman, 15, and her mother, Shelina Rahman, 41, 'made significant efforts to help each other' after running into trouble in the water.
The mother and daughter, from Ilford in east London, died, while Musa Ahmed, 7, was flown to hospital in a critical condition.
Essex Police confirmed he died yesterday (July 29).
His death means four people have now died in separate sea-related incidents off the Essex coast in the space of more than a week.
