Bostik North: Dereham Town 1 Romford 0

Romford fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat to Dereham Town to slip down to ninth in the Bostik North after back-to-back losses.

A 21st minute goal from Daniel Beaumont sealed the three points for the Magpies at Aldiss Park.

Boro manager Paul Martin made four changes to his starting line-up ahead of the encounter with Jamies Marsh, Danny Jones, Michael Clarke and Ernest Okoh coming in.

Nathan Okoye, Nick Reynolds, Max Bolton and Chris Taylor all dropped to the bench.

After a strong start from the hosts despite a Romford chance in the second minute they broke the deadlock in the 21st minute thanks to Beaumont.

The ball was won on the left hand side by Adam Hipperson who ran at the back line before playing Beaumont in behind and he fired the ball into the net.

The Magpies piled the pressure on Romford but couldn’t stretch their lead nor could the visitors find an equaliser.
