Upminster girl Violet Herbage celebrated a very special birthday last month.
It was Derham House resident Violet’s 102nd on February 19, and she marked the occasion surrounded by family – including daughters Jean Fentiman and Peggy Coleman, son-in-law Michael Fentiman and granddaughter Linda Mclean.
Violet is from East Ham but arrived in Havering when she moved into the Harwood Hall Lane care home.
A man was robbed of his phone, money and ordered to leave a train at Upminster station in a “terrifying ordeal”, transport police said.
