Local Elections: Tories take all three Brooklands seats

The Conservative party has moved ahead of the Residents’ Association, reclaiming all three seats in Brooklands.

After Cllr Fred Osborne’s defection to Ukip the Tories had only two of the three seats, but Cllr Robert Benham, Viddy Persaud and Roger Westwood have brought the ward back to the party with 1,758, 1,620 and 1,545 votes respectively.

Turnout for the ward was 40pc.
