West Ham manager Sam Allardyce has confirmed both James Collins and Joey O’Brien have been training this week and are in contention for the Premier League clash with Tottenham on Monday.
Collins has been missing due to a hamstring problem whilst fellow defender O’Brien was sidelined with a thigh injury but both are now part of Allardyce’s squad for the London derby against Spurs.
George McCartney (knee) is also on the comeback trail having returned to training but the game on Monday will come too soon for him.
Provisional squad: Jaaskelainen, Spiegel, Reid, Tomkins, Collins, Pogatetz, O’Brien, Demel, Nolan, Jarvis, J Cole, Noble, Diame, O’Neil, Collison, Taylor, Diarra, C Cole, Vaz Te, Carroll, Maiga, Chamakh.
Transfer news: Lukas Podolski believes in-demand Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski would be a perfect fit for Arsenal.
