Hornchurch were handed a fantastic draw in the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup this morning as it was revealed that they would be hosting Conference Premier side Hereford United on October 26.
Several Urchins fans and players would have been delighted after listening to the draw on talkSPORT this morning and manager Jimmy McFarlane admitted it will be a great tie after defeating Wealdstone 6-1 on Saturday to reach this stage.
The bumper crowd expected at Bridge Avenue for the match is something he is also looking forward to.
“We will have a bumper crowd which will be great,” said McFarlane.
“They are Conference side but they have only won four games all season so we will go into it full of confidence.
“We will be underdogs, no doubt about that, but I am looking forward to it and we will give it our best shot.”
Plans have already been put in place to watch their FA Cup opponents this weekend as the Whites face Barnet in Conference Premier.
McFarlane added: “It has already been organised to watch them. We will be having them watched on Saturday.
“The guy that does it for us said to me straight away ‘I suppose that means I’m off to Hereford this weekend’. We do it all professionally.”
Hornchurch will be hoping their man at Edgar Street on Saturday finds some flaws in Martin Foyle’s team but should they not, they know can rely on their free scoring forward line to cause Hereford plenty of problems.
Hull City manager Steve Bruce believes that Arsenal have the ability to win the league this season.
