Latest news from the Essex FA
A special ticket offer and Nike kit competition can be accessed by FA Charter Standard clubs ahead of this season’s FA Women’s Cup final.
The big match takes place at stadiummk, the home of MK Dons, on Sunday June 1, with kick off at 4.30pm.
Prior to the main event, the FA Girls’ Youth Cup final will begin the day’s action at 1pm, featuring some of the stars of the future.
Clubs with Charter Standard status are being rewarded with 25 free tickets to see the finals, with any additional tickets available to be purchased for just £5 for adults and £2.50 for concessions.
It will be the fifth FA game to be held at stadiummk, following three men’s Under 21s victories against Bulgaria, Azerbaijan and Finland in 2007, 2009 and 2013 respectively. Brian Eastick’s Under 19s also defeated Russia 3-1 in Milton Keynes in 2008.
Vice-chairman of the FA Women’s Committee, Elaine Oram, said: “We thank Milton Keynes Dons for agreeing to host what is traditionally the biggest and most high-profile domestic women’s match of the season.
“We were impressed with the enthusiasm they showed to stage the final on our behalf and we are sure they will do a magnificent job, with the help of the City Council and the Berks & Bucks County FA.”
Above and beyond the special ticket rate, clubs booking 60 or more tickets will be entered into a prize draw to win a Nike team kit (14 outfield, two goalkeeper), and those booking 40 or more gain entry to a prize to win a bag of 14 Nike training balls.
