Josh Scott could go straight into the Dagenham & Redbridge side on Saturday at Rotherham United after his loan spell at Ebbsfleet came to end.
Daggers boss Wayne Burnett has confirmed that striker Josh Scott has returned to Victoria Road after his loan at Ebbsfleet United came to an end, while he eyes up another striking option.
Scott scored three goals in his month-long loan and Burnett feels the 27-year-old has definitely benefitted from the spell at the Blue Square Bet Premier side.
“Josh is back and he’ll be featuring in some capacity,” he added. “He has gone out and he has done well, scored some goals and got a lot of minutes under his belt.
“He wasn’t getting that while he was here before and rather than just the reserve team minutes it was important to get him some competitive game time and he has benefitted from that.”
Burnett has also put an enquiry in for Reading striker Dominic Samuel and is keen on bringing the England under-19 international to Victoria Road on loan.
“We rate him very highly and being an youth international he has a lot of potential. But at the moment it is only an enquiry and we are waiting to hear back as to whether anything is possible.”
But while brining in another striker, the Daggers boss may have to see one or two go in the other direction.
“We have to be careful about how many strikers we have at the club,” he said.
“They all need games so there might be some manoeuvring around.”
