Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Luke Howell signs two-year contract extension at Victoria Road, while there is a new date for the Daggers trip to Bradford City.

Dagenham & Redbridge have received a boost this week after midfielder Luke Howell signed a two-year contract extension with the club.

The 26-year-old has been one of the star performers this season as Daggers sit 13th in League Two going into their home game with Morecambe on Saturday.

And with his original deal due to run out in June, Daggers have added Howell’s signature to the growing length of contract extensions made in recent weeks.

Howell joins youngster Louis Dennis, Jake Reed, Matt Saunders and Medy Elito in signing new two-year contracts at Victoria Road.

Daggers boss John Still said: “Losing Luke to injury was a big blow for us last year, however he has come back this year and got himself fit. Luke has done very well this season and has become a regular in the team. With Luke still at a young age i am sure we are going to see him improving.”

In other news, Daggers’ fixture at Bradford City has been put back 24 hours to Wednesday, February 27 at Valley Parade.

This is in light of the Bantams Carling Cup final appearance on Sunday, February 24.
