Dagenham & Redbridge have completed the youth loan signing of Dominic Samuel from Championship side Reading for a month.
Samuel was initially linked with a loan spell at Victoria Road last season, but manager Wayne Burnett opted against it.
Daggers already have another Royal in the shape of Lawson D’Ath at the club, and Samuel is available for the home match with Fleetwood Town on Saturday.
Samuel, an England under-19 international has made just one appearance for Reading, coming off the bench in a 3-0 defeat at Sunderland back in 2012.
His form in the club’s under-18s side, 13 goals in 14 games in the 2011-12 season, saw him earn a professional contract at the Madjeski Stadium.
The 19-year-old striker did spend a spell on loan at Colchester United last season, featuring twice, but they remain his only competitive league games to date.
This season he’s netted three times for the Royals under-21 side, including a stunning goal in a 3-0 win over Manchester City. You can see the goal here.
