Dagenham & Redbridge first-team coach Warren Hackett is hoping they can keep their play-off hopes in tact when they visit Bury tomorrow.
The Daggers are on a five-game unbeaten run, and have failed to taste defeat on their travels now since the 3-1 loss at York City on January 4.
They extended that record in Wednesday’s 2-1 win at Newport County, thanks to a double from the in-form Medy Elito.
And while their home form has not been so great, Hackett knows another success on the road will give them a real fighting chance of making the play-offs.
“We are not going to get carried away, there are another nine games to go and we are going to try and get as many points on the table as we can and see where it takes us,” said Hackett.
“The league is wide open and it speaks for itself but points are going to get us into the play-off positions and we’ll wait and see what happens.
“Bury have been a difficult game but we have had them watched a couple of times. They are a kind of flowing footballing team and do play a 3-5-2 and it will be another tough game on the road.”
