Daggers boss John Still was pleased to see his side to show their work ethic of old in the goalless draw at Plymouth Argyle on Saturday.

And while there were thoughts before the game of three points, Still was happy to make the long trip back with one for their efforts.

“I think away from home you have always got to be happy to get something,” said Still.

“I knew it would be a battle and I thought we didn’t play particularly well and neither did either side but I was respectful of the fact that they needed to try and win.

“A battling performance and a point away from home isn’t a bad day’s work.”

Having been pleased with their work ethic, Still now wants his charges to show that extra bit of quality he knows they have as they prepare for a tough couple of fixtures with Cheltenham Town and Gillingham in the next two weeks.

“We have worked our socks off, like we did last week, but we didn’t do that at Wycombe,” he added.

“For the last two games we have got the work ethic back, we now have to add that extra bit of quality with two tough games coming up.”
