Edmans passed away in his sleep last night (Saturday, February 15) and had been a volunteer with the club for 30 years – joining them under the guise of Walthamstow Avenue in 1984, and never took a wage throughout that time.

During his time with the club he’d worked under eight different managers and was a well known face not just around Victoria Road, but also on the away days, regularly travelling with first team.

Players past and present took to social networking site Twitter to mourn Bill’s passing.
