Dagenham & Redbridge have extended the loan of striker Luke Norris to the end of the season.
The 20-year-old has been with the club for two months, having had a spell earlier this season in League Two with Northampton Town.
And the striker has shown further promise, scoring four goals during his time at Victoria Road, including the equaliser against Bury at the weekend.
With striker Rhys Murphy and Zavon Hines still unavailable, manager Wayne Burnett has sought to extend his loan until the end of the campaign as they continue their late push for a play-off place.
And the Daggers boss is delighted to keep the youngster at the Daggers, now he’s had the opportunity to impress of late with the injuries to Murphy and Hines.
“It was a fantastic goal from Luke on Saturday,” said Burnett.
“He is a young boy still learning his trade but he can score goals. He’s glided past a few people and then put a fantastic finish into the corner.
“He has got that in him, and I have been more impressed with his work rate of late. He’s got in the team of late and worked incredibly hard and that is his reward.
Skipper Abu Ogogo echoed the thoughts of Burnett, saying: “Luke had no right to do what he did for that goal and to squeeze it in the corner and he has certainly played his part.
“He’s been very good away from home, and he’s capable of holding the ball up well as a striker to get other players into the game.”
