Wood is a lifelong Pilgrims fan, and will be in the press box co-commentating with BBC Radio Devon’s Gordon Sparks.

And once the opportunity arose, there was no way he could turn down the opportunity.

“Having grown up going to Argyle with my family since I was a young boy, I jumped at the chance to get involved with the team and the broadcasting legend that is Gordon Sparks. This will be a dream come true,” Wood told BBC Sport.

Wood and his fellow band members are in London for tonight’s Brit Awards at the O2 Arena where they are up for four awards – best single, best British group, breakthrough artist and best album.
