Arsene Wenger said his Arsenal players were “frustrated” not to beat Liverpool last night despite overturning a two-goal deficit to draw.
Goals from Luis Suarez and Jordan Henderson put Liverpool into a commanding lead at the Emirates but the Gunners hit back with a two-goal blitz in three second half minutes as Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott found the target.
Wenger praised his players for their commitment but admitted frustration was the overriding feeling in the dressing room.
“They are frustrated because we have not won the game,” he said.
“But we came back and there is a certain feeling that they did their job and have given everything.
“But at the same time you want to win football games so they are frustrated.”
German forward Lukas Podolski has been linked with a switch to Juventus after being the most substituted of Arsenal’s attackers this season.
