POLICE investigating the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl have taken the unusual step of issuing a photograph of a suspect.

Yaw Obe Frimpong, 29, has gone missing from his home in Edinburgh House, in Elvet Avenue, Gidea Park.

He also left work as a security guard and has not been seen in the five weeks since the alleged incident, in Romford on April 24.

The officer heading the case, Det Sgt Hugh Cullen, is urging people to call 999 if they spot Frimpong, who is originally from Ghana.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
