 | | Christian Plucknett - ASBO bus ban |
A TEENAGER from Romford has been banned from travelling on the top deck of any bus in England or Wales after he was given an Anti-Social Behaviour order (ASBO) by Havering magistrates.
Christian Plucknett, 16, of St Edward's Way, who has been remanded in custody for other offences, has been punished for causing mayhem across Havering.
He received the ASBO at Havering Magistrates Court on May 17.
The conditions of Plucknett's ASBO are:
l Not to intimidate any person or act in a manner likely to frighten any person and act or incite others to act in such a manner.
l Not to travel within England and Wales on the top deck of any bus or travel in the last three rows of the lower deck or on the last three rows of a single-decker bus unless in the company of a parent or guardian.
l Not to be present in the Elvet Avenue and Durham Avenue Estate.
l Not to enter Romford Town Centre and Liberty Two shopping centre.
l Not to enter Romford Library or go within three metres of the building.
l Not to associate with Mitchell Taylor by communicating directly or indirectly with him.
The ASBO expires on May 16, 2009. Conditions two, three, four and five are suspended until Plucknett is released from custody.
A spokesman for Havering Police said: "Mr Plucknett is currently remanded in custody and, when released, he will be subject to his ASBO conditions.
Deterrent
"This is an excellent result and I hope that this is a deterrent to those people who insist on acting in a similar manner.
"I urge them to stop behaving like this as they could find themselves in Mr Plucknett's shoes in the future."
The spokesman added that the reason for the bus ban was due to Plucknett causing criminal damage and carrying out thefts on buses.
